How I got hooked
I first picked up my own camera before I left to study in the states, and initially I was just capturing anything I thought would catch the interests of my friends back home. However, through that process of wanting to capture something interesting to show my friends, I learned that you can find interesting views everywhere! The next time I went back home to visit, I had a different perspective of looking at the city I grew up in and a new found appreciation of things I had found to be 'normal', but were actually some of the most unique things in the world. Ever since then, my love for photography has continued to grow and everytime I pick up my camera, I immediately view the world through a different lens.
ABout my photography
I take pictures for selfish and selfless reasons. Selfishly, I just want to capture memories for myself. I also want likes. Not just for the likes themselves, but it lets me know what people, you know, like. Which leads us to my selfless reason. I've noticed how much joy pictures can bring, be it through a funny moment frozen in time, or a smile that reminds someone of a reason they smiled. Either way, I really like capturing and sharing those moments with others.
